Namibia International Energy Conference (NIEC 2026)
Visa Requirements & Application Guidelines
All international participants attending the NIEC 2026 must ensure that they have the appropriate visa to enter Namibia.
Conference Dates: 14 – 16 April 2026
Location: Droombos Vineyard Estates, Windhoek, Namibia
We encourage all participants to review the steps below carefully before making travel arrangements.
Step 1 — Register for NIEC 2026
Before applying for a visa, all participants must first register for the conference.
After registration, you will receive:
- Your Official NIEC Invitation Letter
- Your Event MICE Visa Code

Only registered participants included on the official delegate list will be able to apply for a MICE Visa.
Apply for your MICE Visa 3 days after your registration has been confirmed.
Step 2 — Determine if You Need a Visa
Visa requirements depend on your nationality.
a.) Visa-Exempt Delegates
Delegates from visa-exempt countries may enter Namibia without applying for a visa, provided they are attending strictly as delegates.
Upon arrival, please present:
- A valid passport (minimum 6 months validity)
- Your official NIEC Invitation Letter Visa

b.) Delegates from Visa-Required Countries
Delegates whose nationality requires a visa must apply for a:
- MICE Event Visa
The MICE Event Visa is the correct visa category for attending NIEC 2026, including:
- Delegates
- Speakers
- Moderators
- Sponsors
- Exhibitors
* Please note that the MICE Visa application deadline has been extended to 11 April 2026.
Tourist or holiday visas must not be used for conference attendance.
Step 3 — Special Requirements for Media
Media Representatives
Media representatives must first obtain accreditation from the Ministry of Information, Communication and Technology (MICT) before submitting a visa application.
No MICE Visa application should be submitted before MICT accreditation has been issued.

Step 4 — Apply for Your Visa 3 days after your registration has been confirmed
Once registered and prepared, apply online via:
Ministry of Home Affairs eServices Portal
Follow the instructions and upload the required documents.
Step 5 — Visa Fees
The official MICE Event Visa fee is NAD 1,600 per applicant. The visa fee is paid online via the Ministry of Home Affairs eServices Portal after the visa is approved.
