Background
Recognizing energy’s crucial role in catalysing Namibia’s socio-economic development and the need for collaboration to unlock this value, RichAfrica founded the Namibia International Energy Conference (NIEC) in 2012.
Previously known as the Namibia International Oil and Gas Conference, this influential thought-leadership platform has become a reputable forum where industry leaders, business executives and policymakers engage in dialogue, exchange ideas, create new partnerships and identify solutions and strategies to foster a prosperous energy industry in Namibia and beyond.

The Ministry’s mandate and dedication align with the NIEC’s commitment to the sustainable development of Namibia’s energy resources.
