Conference Updates
The organisers continue to monitor global developments and will communicate any relevant updates to registered participants should circumstances require adjustments to the conference.
Is the Namibia International Energy Conference 2026 still taking place?
Yes. The Namibia International Energy Conference (NIEC) 2026 will take place from 14–16 April 2026 in Windhoek, Namibia. Preparations for the conference are progressing as planned, and we look forward to welcoming delegates from across the global energy community.
What is included in the conference registration?
A delegate grants access to the conference sessions, networking opportunities, and other activities included in the official programme for the event.
Please note that registration covers participation in the conference only and does not include travel, accommodation, visas, insurance, or other personal expenses.
How can I register for the conference, and what is the registration fee?
Registration is completed via our online portal on the website. Please click here to secure your pass.

Can I transfer my delegate pass to someone else?
Yes. Delegate passes may be transferred to another individual within the same organisation, subject to approval by the conference secretariat.
Transfer requests must be submitted in writing prior to the transfer deadline communicated by the organisers.
What happens if the conference is postponed?
If the conference is postponed, delegate registrations will automatically be transferred to the new dates.
Participants who are unable to attend the rescheduled dates may request a credit toward a future edition of the conference, subject to the conference terms and conditions.
What is the refund policy if I cancel my registration?
Refunds for delegate cancellations are processed according to the following schedule:
- On or before 1 March 2026 – 75% refund
- On or before 15 March 2026 – 50% refund
- On or before 22 March 2026 – 25% refund
- After 31 March 2026 – No refund
In exceptional circumstances, such as medical emergencies, refund requests submitted after the deadline may be considered on a case-by-case basis at the discretion of the organisers.
What happens if the conference is cancelled?
If the conference is cancelled by the organiser for reasons other than force majeure, registered participants may be offered either:
- A refund of the registration fees paid, or
- A credit toward a future edition of the conference.
What happens if the conference is affected by force majeure?
In circumstances beyond the control of the organisers (such as geopolitical developments, government restrictions, natural disasters, pandemics, or other unforeseen events), the organisers may:
- Reschedule the conference
- Offer alternative participation arrangements
- Provide a credit toward a future edition of the conference
The organisers are not responsible for travel or accommodation costs incurred by delegates.
Can NIEC assist me with my visa application?
The NIEC Organizing Team provides official documentation only, including:
- The invitation letter
- The event code
- General visa guidance
However, we do not process visa applications on behalf of delegates.
Is professional visa support available?
Yes. Delegates who would like personalized assistance — including step-by- step guidance, document verification, and application follow-up — may opt to engage our Visa Processing Partners for assisted visa application services.
This service is:
- Optional
- Fee-based
- Paid directly to the service provider
It is particularly useful for delegates who:
- Are applying for a MICE Visa for the first time
- Are short on time
- Prefer professional oversight of the process
Do I have to use a visa processing partner?
No.
Delegates are not required to use a visa service provider and may apply independently via the official government portal, provided all requirements are met.
How do I access visa assistance if I want it?
Delegates who wish to use professional visa support are advised to contact:

Are travel and accommodation included in the conference registration?
No. Delegates are responsible for arranging and covering the cost of their own:
- Travel
- Accommodation
- Visas
- Insurance
- Any other personal expenses related to attending the conference.
Should delegates obtain travel insurance?
Delegates are strongly encouraged to obtain appropriate travel insurance when making travel and accommodation arrangements.
Travel insurance may help cover unforeseen circumstances that could affect travel plans, including flight disruptions, travel delays, visa issues, or other unexpected events.
What if I cannot obtain a visa to travel to Namibia?
Delegates are responsible for obtaining all required travel documentation to enter Namibia.
Upon request and once registration has been confirmed, the conference secretariat may provide a letter confirming participation to support visa applications.
However, the organisers cannot guarantee visa approval and are not responsible for costs or refunds resulting from visa decisions.
Are there any discounts or special rates for early registration or specific groups? Or Is it possible to book a group of delegate passes?
Early bird registration rates were available until 20th January 2026. We currently offer a 20% discount on group registrations of 5 and above
What networking opportunities are provided during the conference?
NIEC2026 offers various networking sessions including a Welcome Reception, Networking Lunch Breaks, Refreshment Breaks, a Gala Dinner, a Networking Breakfast and Farewell Cocktail.
Are there exhibition spaces available, and how can companies or organizations participate?
Yes. Exhibition opportunities are available. Companies or organizations may participate by reserving exhibition space through info@nieconference.com
Will there be opportunities for press coverage or media participation?
Yes. Media and press accreditation opportunities are provided. Qualified press are welcome to apply through media@richafricaco.com.
Is there a dress code for the event sessions and networking events?
The recommended dress code for NIEC2026 is business casual or African Attire.
Are there any Strategic Industry Intelligence Sessions, and do they require separate registration?
Yes, the conference will host Strategic Industry Intelligence sessions and technical workshops. These sessions are typically included in the overall registration.
How can interested parties contribute as sponsors or partners for the conference?

What post-conference resources or materials will be available to attendees?
After the conference, attendees will have access to post-conference materials, such as session recordings, presentation slides and summaries of key discussions, which will be uploaded on the website.
Will there be translation services for non-English speakers?
The Conference will be hosted in English.
How can I book accommodation near the event venue?
Special conference rates for accommodation near the venue will be made available and you may book through the conference’s accommodation tab to secure those rates.
Will geopolitical developments affect the conference?
The organisers continue to monitor global developments and remain in contact with relevant authorities to ensure the safe delivery of the conference.
At this time, the conference scheduled for 14–16 April 2026 in Windhoek, Namibia is proceeding as planned. Should circumstances arise that require adjustments to the conference schedule or format, registered participants will be informed promptly.
Delegates are encouraged to make travel arrangements in accordance with their organisation’s policies.
Will I be safe at the event?
Your safety is our priority. We have onsite security and abide by the recommended health and safety regulations. Your delegate badge permits access to the event and any approved networking functions. No badge means no entry.
